Anne Noone

Anne Noone of Chester New York, formerly of the Bronx, a retired clerk for New York life Insurance Company and a longtime resident of the area, died peacefully at Elant of Goshen on March 31, 2014. She was 101 A years of age. The daughter of the late Patrick and Mary Sheridan she was born in County Sligo, Ireland in 1912. She was a loving Mother, but mostly she was Nanny to her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She loved to tell her many stories of her life growing up in Ireland. All through her life she was a great walker, distance was never a concern. She also loved playing Bingo with the Chester Seniors, and especially winning. Anne was a member of Sligo Ladies, the Chester Senior Citizens and a parishioner of St. Columba R.C. Church in Chester, New York. Anne was the widow of Patrick Noone; she was also pre-deceased by five brothers and sisters, along with her beloved cousin Peggy McCarthy. Anne is survived by her daughter Mary and her husband Richard Collins, and her grandchildren Kathryn Collins, Anne and her husband Gene Alliergo, Patrick Collins and his wife Maria Perez. Her great grandchildren Fran, Tim, Kaitlyn, Makayla and Chandler also survive her. Visitation will be held on Thursday, April 3, 2014 during the hours of 2 to 4 & 6 to 8 PM at Flynn Funeral & Cremation Memorial Centers, Inc., 3 Hudson Street, Chester, New York 10918. A Funeral Mass will be offered on Friday, April 4, 2014 at 10:00 AM at St. Columba R.C. Church, 29 High Street, Chester, New York. Fr. John Bonnici will officiate. Interment will follow at St. Raymond's Cemetery, Bronx, NY. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Thomas F.
