Our community sadly lost a well loved member on 12/6/23. Niel was the heart and soul of Posa Posa Woodbury Commons, Bocci's, and Villa Positano. He shared his gifts of good food and hospitality to all. He had many special friendships especially within his local parishes and with his many employees who he was very proud of and held to a high regard. He leaves behind his wife and two daughters to carry on his legacy and will be missed by all.

The son of Giacomo and Anna Villani Miola, he was born on August 13, 1964, in Positano, Italy.

He was a member of the Santa Maria Delle Grazie of Montepertuso, Italy, Sacred Heart of Monroe, N.Y., and St. Anastasia Church of Harriman of Harriman, N.Y.

Survivors include his wife Rebecca Taylor Miola at home and their children Hanna and Janis Miola of Monroe, NY.

His brother Michele Miola, his sisters Rosa and Maria of Positano, Italy, and nephews Giacomo, Pasquale, Marco, Matteo, and Domenico, all of Positano, Italy, and his two nieces Adele and Anna of Positano, Italy, also survive him.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 20, 2023, from 4:00 to 8:00 PM at Flynn Funeral & Cremation Memorial Centers, 139 Stage Road, Monroe, NY 10950. Please wear a red shirt or outfit, Niel's favorite color, for his Life Celebration on December 20, 2023.

A Funeral Mass will be held on January 4, 2023, at 10:00 AM at St. Anastasia R.C. Church, 21 North Main Steet, Harriman, N.Y. 10926.

Cremation care is under the care and supervision of Brendan & Thomas Flynn at Oxford Hills Crematory.

Burial of cremains will take place in Positano, Italy, in the family cemetery.

Funeral arrangements and care for the family are being provided by Flynn Funeral & Cremation Memorial Centers.
