Daniel Michael Mahoney

Daniel Michael Mahoney of Monroe, New York and former 28 year resident of Chester, NY, died December 21, 2012 at the James J. Peters VA Medical Center, Bronx, New York after a long illness. He was 64 years of age. The son of the late Daniel and Jennie Liamero Mahoney he was born in the Bronx on July 6, 1948. Dan was a Veteran of the United States Army having served in Vietnam, after he was honorably discharge from service, Dan then began a long rewarding career with the New York City Police Department. He retired after 23 years of service from the 23rd Precinct. He was a dedicated husband and father, who will be missed by his family. He enjoyed watching his New York Teams such as the Yankees, Giants and Rangers with various members of his family; he was known to rarely miss a Rangers game. Dan is survived by his loving wife Elizabeth Mahoney at home and their children, Daniel Mahoney and his wife Valentina, and Christine Conklin and her husband Les all of Monroe, New York. Dan was the adoring grandfather to Cassidy and Lucas Conklin also of Monroe, N.Y. His brothers Michael and his wife Toni Mahoney of New York City, Patrick and his wife Lise Mahoney of Monroe, NY and James and his wife Barbara Mahoney of New York City, and many nieces and nephews also survive him. Three very special aunts Camille Liamero, Josie Del Favero and Peggy Cupo also survive. Visitation will be held on December 27, 2012 during the hours of 2 to 4 & 6 to 8 PM at Flynn Funeral & Cremation Memorial Centers, Inc., 139 Stage Road, Monroe, New York 10950. A Funeral Mass will be offered on Friday, December 28, 2012 at 10:00 AM at Sacred Heart R.C. Church, 26 Still Road, Monroe, New York 10950. Cremation will follow at Oxford Hills Crematory, Inc., Chester, New York. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Thomas F.
