Elizabeth M. Lauritzen "Betty" Middletown, NY Elizabeth "Betty" MacEntee Lauritzen a retired Dietetic Technician at Orange Regional Medical Center and a resident of the area for the past 47 years entered in God's the Heavenly Kingdom on November 12, 2017. She was 75 years of age. The daughter of the late John & Elisabeth Reinhardt she was born in Mineola, NY in 1942. She was a member of the Congregational Church of Howells & Harmony Baptist Church. Betty was born again in 2000, being baptized on May 2, 1999. Betty was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister. She was the 4-H leader of the Craigville Cougars. She loved cooking and baking. Her zucchini bread, Christmas butter cookies, bread and butter pickles, potato salad and mocha Bundt cakes were always a hit! She enjoyed gardening and fed her family with its bounty. She loved traveling, dancing, exercise class, and her Church family. Surviving are her loving husband Karl Lauritzen, her 5 children Christeen MacEntee and fianc Vito of Coram, N.Y; Brian MacEntee MacEntee and wife Elke of Oboach, Austria; Kevin MacEntee and wife Jennifer of Coldenham, N.Y; Daniel MacEntee and wife Maria of Schenectady, NY; and Kerry MacEntee of Mount Vernon, NY. Betty was blessed with 6 awesome grandchildren: Holden and Hayden; Carli, Olivia and Andrew; and Matthias MacEntee. Also surviving are 2 sisters, Linda (twin) Martino and her husband Thomas of Uniondale, N.Y. and Anita Pilotte and her husband George of Powell, Wyoming. She is also survived by her step-children, Karl Lauritzen and wife Dora of Waco, Texas; Debbie Lauritzen of Overland Park, Kansas and Kevin Lauritzen of Belair, MD and 5 step-grandchildren: Katherine, Jon, Jeremy, Kevin, and Marc and 3 step greatgrandchildren. She was predeceased by her first husband James MacEntee. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, November 18th, 2017, during the hours of 2:00 to 6:00 PM at Flynn Funeral & Cremation Memorial Centers, Inc., located at 3 Hudson Street, Chester, NY 10918. Pastor Steve Offringer of Howells Church will conduct a Christian Service at 5:30 PM at the Funeral Home. IN lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to Congregational Church of Howells, P.O. Box 141, Howells, NY 10932 or the Samaritan Purse (via the Billy Graham Association) P.O. Box 3000, Boone, South Carolina 28607. Funeral and cremation arrangements have been entrusted to Thomas F.
