Elizabeth Mchugh

d. July 11, 2016

Elizabeth McHugh, resident of Warwick, New York for the past four years, died quietly after a long illness. Formerly of Blooming Grove, NY, she was born in Ireland and came to America in 1959 at the age of 20. She worked in Manhattan as a au pair. There she met and married her husband of 52 years, Francis. They came to Blooming Grove in 1972 and worked in the cafeteria in the Washingtonville School system. She was involved in Scouting, Little League and Wizard football. Her kids were everything to her. Her hobbies included knitting and puzzles. She was grateful to Dr. Fiore and the staff at Schervier in Warwick for making these past few years as comfortable as they could be. The love and support of her dear friends, the Currans and the Mackle girls made these difficult years much easier. She is survived by her husband, Francis; her sons, Paul and Brian; her daughters-in-law: Luisa and Christine and seven grandchildren she adored. She was a loving mother and grandmother. There will be a Mass in her honor on Saturday, July 11th at the Mount Alverno Chapel in Warwick. Cremation has occurred at Oxford Hills Crematory, Inc., Chester, New York. Funeral arrangements and the cremation service have been entrusted to Thomas F. Flynn and the staff of Flynn Funeral & Cremation Memorial Centers, Inc., 139 Stage Road, Monroe, New York.
