Family Statement: "My Mother" - As sad as I feel, I know in my heart how lucky I have been that Betty Notman was my mother. All of my life she has always made me feel that whatever I was doing was important to her. She has loved and looked over me my entire life. She always greeted me with a smile, and she always answered the phone happy to hear from me, and that could be three to five times a day. Many times in the past few weeks I have reached for the phone to call her and now she's not there. I am so thankful that she has been here to help raise my son. She has devoted herself to us for the last 15 years. She has had a profound effect on him and she will always live on in him. Many people have told me that I was a good son. I got back far more than I ever gave. She was the best. Fifty nine years as her son was not nearly enough. To all my friends and family that have stood by me during this difficult time, I am forever grateful. - William P.
