Julia "Julie" Hartin, Monroe, NY ( 03.20.1943 - 02.22.2018) Julia Hartin of Monroe, New York an area resident since 1999, and a Commodities Broker for Care Overseas in New York City died February 22, 2018, at her residence, along with a lengthy illness. She was 74 years of age. The daughter of the late William Dempsey and Mary Carey Dempsey she was born on March 20, 1943, in Brooklyn, New York. Julie was a lover of life. She was fortunate to have met her soulmate her husband Robert Hartin of 40 plus years. Together they loved to travel to some of their favorite places such as Maui and Amish County, Yankee Lake at the cabin they shared, swimming with friends and plenty of BBQ's were enjoyed. Family meant the world to Julie as did her friends, especially spending endless hours with her three granddaughters, whom she affectionately called her 3 chickens. She will be remembered for her decorating and love of gardening, and she also enjoyed 50's and 60's music. Survivors include her husband Robert J. Hartin at home, her daughter Julia McCarthy of Wurtsboro, and sons Michael McCarthy of Las Vegas, Nevada and Brian Hartin of Brooklyn, NY. Her sisters Mary Mallgraf, Eileen Colandrea, Catherine Browne, Linda Burke (Charlie) survive her, in addition to her brother John Dempsey. Her grandchildren Kenna, Selena and Sierra, Kelly, Erik, and Brendon, along with many nieces survive her, also survive. Julia was predeceased by her parents, one sister Ann Badendyck as well as her brother William Dempsey. A Private family viewing was held at Flynn Funeral & Cremation Memorial Centers, Inc., located at 139 Stage Road, Monroe, New York 10950. Cremation services were completed under the care of Thomas F. Flynn at Oxford Hills Crematory, Inc A Memorial Mass will be held at St. Anastasia R.C. Church located at 21 North Main Street, Harriman, NY 10926 on Saturday, March 3, 2018, at 11:00 AM with Fr.
