Richard Arthur Rose

Richard A. Rose, a life long resident of the area and long time resident of Chester, New York died at St. Anthony's Community Hospital in Warwick, New York on January 23, 2016. He was 74 years of age. The son of the late Harry and Kathleen Rose, Richard was born in Suffern, New York in the year 1941. Richard was employed by Avon Products in Suffern, New York from 1968 - 2005. Richard was predeceased by his parents, Harry and Kathleen Rose; his daughter, Kimberly Decker; his brother, William Rose and his sisters, Joan Avenengo; Jocelyn Hahn and Sandra Tompkins. Richard is survived by his wife of 48 years, Jean Rose. Richard is also survived by his daughter, Jennifer Peterson of Chester, New York; his grandchildren, Nicole Decker of Cape Coral, Florida; Richard Jake Decker; Klerisa Peterson; Justin Peterson and Geremy Peterson, all of Chester, New York as well as by his great-grandchildren, Emma of Cape Coral, Florida and Savannah of Chester, New York. Additional survivors include his sister, Barbara Anges of Bradenton, Florida and his brother, Harry Rose and wife Lori of Myakka, Florida as well as well as by his many nieces, nephews, brother-in-laws, sister-in-laws and his long time friends, Marcel and Marie Broussard. Visitation will be held on Saturday, January 30, 2016 between the hours of 4 to 7 PM at Flynn Funeral & Cremation Memorial Centers, Inc. located at 3 Hudson Street, Chester, New York 10918. Cremation will follow at Oxford Hills Crematory, Inc., Chester, New York. Funeral arrangements and the cremation service have been entrusted to Thomas F.
