Robert "Bob" Lewin a 27 year resident of Monroe, NY, died Wednesday, May 29, 2013 at the young age of 62, at his daughter's home in Monroe, surrounded by his family. Bob fought a tough battle with Brain Cancer. Bob was predeceased by his parents, Alfred and Lilly Lewin, and his sister Susan Lewin. Bob was an extremely loving man and proud of his daughters. He was a passionate and loyal family man who enjoyed playing golf and being with his 7 Grandchildren and Godchild. They made him very happy and proud, and Robert would often spend his spare time with them. He went above and beyond to help others in need to which he earned the title "SUPERMAN" by his friends and family. Robert worked for Con Edison at 4 Irving Place, Westchester, NY, for 41 years until he had to retire due to his battle with cancer. He worked as a senior substation operator, as the chairman of Westchester Shop Stewards, and as the chairman of the Safety Committee . He is survived by his loving wife June M. Lewin of 41 years, his daughters Tina Fini and her loving husband Anthony of Monroe, and Mikki and her loving husband Jeremiah of Tennessee. Robert is also survived by his two sisters, Linda Lewin of New York, NY, and Marcia Baxter of Goose Creek, South Carolina. Also surviving are his 7 grandchildren, many loving aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and loving friends. Visitation will be held on Sunday, June 2nd , 2013 during the hours of 2 to 4 & 6 to 8 PM at Flynn Funeral & Cremation Memorial Centers, Inc., 139 Stage Road, Monroe, New York 10950. A Funeral Mass will be held on Monday, June 3rd, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Anastasia R.C. Church, 21 North Main Street, Harriman, NY 10926. Father Michael Keane will officiate. Interment will follow at St. Mary's R.C. Church Cemetery, 2 Fr. Tierney Circle, Washingtonville, NY 10992 on Monday, June 3, 2013 at 11:30 a.m. In lieu of flowers the family has requested memorial contributions to Hospice of Orange & Sullivan Counties, 800 Stony Brook Court, Newburgh, New York 12550. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Thomas F. Flynn and the staff of Flynn Funeral & Cremation Memorial Centers, Inc., 139 Stage Rd, Monroe, NY 10950 for directions to the funeral home, St. Anastasia Church, St. Mary's R.C.
