Rosemary Janisch

Rosemary Janisch of Monroe, NY, passed away peacefully on January 9, 2018, at the age of 67. The daughter of Michele and Mary Ann Maietta, Rosemary was born June 8, 1950, in the Bronx, NY. She married John Janisch on June 5, 1976, and together, they moved to Monroe to raise their two children, Jennifer and Jonathan. Rosemary was a devoted wife and mother. She lived for her family. When her health began to decline in the late 1990s, what kept her going were the milestones she didn't want to miss: graduations, weddings, and most recently, the birth of her first grandchild. She lived to experience these important moments due to her remarkable strength, perseverance, and the love and support of her husband, who served as her primary caretaker. Rosemary had an immense heart and an unconditional kindness that is rare in this world. She will never be forgotten; her family and friends will forever carry her memory. She is survived by her husband, John Janisch; her daughter, Jennifer Messier, and son-in-law, Lucas Messier; her son, Jonathan Janisch, daughter-in-law, Jianmei Ni, and granddaughter, Ellie Janisch; her siblings, Angela Hopkins, Luigi Maietta, Michele Maietta, Anna Fratangelo, and Patsy Maietta, and their families; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and others, all of whom loved her deeply. Visitation will be held on Monday, January 15, 2018, during the hours of 3:00 to 6:00 PM, at Flynn Funeral & Cremation Memorial Centers Inc., 139 Stage Road, Monroe, New York 10950. A Funeral Mass will be offered on Tuesday, January 16, 2018, at 10:00 AM at St. Anastasia R.C. Church located at 21 North Main Street, Harriman, NY 10926. Entombment will follow in Our Lady of Hope Mausoleum, in St. Raymond's Cemetery, located at 2600 Lafayette Avenue, Bronx, NY 10465. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Thomas F.
