Anita Steinsdorfer

Anita Steinsdorfer (Meyer), a longtime resident of Park Ridge, NJ, passed away on Wednesday, September 23, 2026, at the age of 84.

She was born on May 3, 1942, in Brooklyn, NY, to the late William and Magda Meyer. They moved the family to a farm in Rosco, NY, where Anita grew up and helped work the farm, which they later turned into a small vacation resort they named Mountain Laurel Farm.

Anita worked as a bookkeeper at Kurt Versen Company in Westwood, NJ, for many years, and later for Wings Worldwide in Montvale, NJ, for over 25 years, also as a bookkeeper, before retiring.

She enjoyed bowling, swimming, antique shows, auctions, interior decorating, spending time with her family, and visiting upstate New York.

Anita is survived by her daughter, Lisa Miller (Steinsdorfer), and her husband, Tom, and her son, Robert Steinsdorfer, and his wife, Stephanie. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Ryan Miller, Emma Miller, and Brett Steinsdorfer. Anita was predeceased by her beloved husband, Ernest, of 62 years, her brother, William Meyer, and her sister-in-law, Hope Meyer.

A private family service will take place at a later date. 

The family entrusted Anita's care to the Flynn family and staff of Flynn Funeral & Cremation Memorial Centers.
