Dale Coleen Spruill

Dale Coleen Spruill, a 40-year resident of Yonkers, NY, and a 30-year resident of Monroe, NY, passed away at the Hospice House in Hyde Park on August 26, 2025, at 75 years young.

The daughter of the late Jane Victoria and John Joseph Woods Sr., she was born on June 25, 1950, in Yonkers, NY.

She was the widow of Paul Rywak (October 1949-January 1987), and later married her current husband, Arnold Spruill, on November 11, 1987.

Dale is survived by her loving husband, Arnold Spruill, of nearly 38 years; her daughter, Jennifer Westervelt (Spruill) and son-in-law Richard Jack Westervelt of Chester, NY; her brother Thomas Woods and his wife Christine Woods of Vero Beach, FL; her niece and nephew, Thomas Woods and Ashley Woods. She is also survived by her granddaughter, Liliana Jane Westervelt, daughter of Jennifer and Richard Westervelt, whom she loved dearly.

She was predeceased by her husband, Paul Rywak, as well as her sister, Leslie Dawn Leitgeb, and her brother, John Joseph Woods Jr.

A Life Celebration for Dale will be held on Friday, September 5, 2025, from 4 pm to 7 pm at Flynn Funeral & Cremation Memorial Centers, Inc., 139 Stage Road, Monroe, NY.

The family entrusted Dale's care to the Flynn family and the staff of Flynn Funeral & Cremation Memorial Centers.

Cremation care will be provided under the direct supervision of Brendan Flynn at Oxford Hills Crematory, Inc., Chester, NY.
