June 23, 2013 Pageland, SC - Formerly of Monroe, NY Mr. John Joseph Carroll Sr., 86, of Pageland, SC, formerly of Monroe, NY, passed away on Sunday, June 23, 2013, in Charlotte, NC. Mr. John Joseph Carroll, Sr. was born in Bronx, NY to the late James and Alice McHenry Carroll. Mr. Carroll served in the US Navy and fought during World War II. He was a Superintendent for the New York City Housing Authority. Mr. Carroll was predeceased by his son, Brett Carroll. Mr. John Joseph Carroll Sr. is survived by his wife, Joyce Carroll of Pageland, SC; sons: John J. Carroll Jr. of Pageland, SC, Kurt J. Carroll of Pageland, SC, Kevin J. Carroll of Pageland, SC, Todd C. Carroll of Raleigh, NC and John Diem of New York; daughters: Lois Ross of Burlington, NC, Tara Rawlins of Montgomery, NY, and Serana Senatore of Pageland, SC; 24 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. A Memorial Service will be held Sunday, June 30th, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Flynn Funeral & Cremation Memorial Centers, 139 Stage Road, Monroe, NY, 10950.
