Kurt Brogan, a beloved son, brother, and uncle, passed away at Mount Sinai Medical in Manhattan on August 18, 2025, after a prolonged illness. He was born on April 3, 1987, in Manhattan, but his spirit flourished in the tranquil surroundings of Tuxedo, New York, where he moved at the tender age of five.
The son of Kurt and MaryAnn Brogan, Kurt was a beacon of talent and laughter, embodying a depth of kindness and gentleness that inspired those fortunate enough to know him. Despite facing illness with a strength that belied his physical challenges, Kurt's primary concern remained the happiness and well-being of his family and caregivers. He continually found their wellsprings of hope and joy, cementing the bonds of love that held his family close.
Kurt's family—his devoted parents, sister Kathleen, brother Terrace, and cherished nieces and nephews—will feel the profound absence of a person whose warmth filled their lives with love and laughter. Each moment spent with Kurt will be remembered for the smiles he brought and the unyielding hope he instilled in those around him.
While private services will be held immediately, the Brogan family invites all those whose lives were touched by Kurt to a Celebration of Life on September 6, 2025, at Flynn Funeral & Cremation Memorial Centers, located at 139 Stage Road, Monroe, N.Y. 10950. This gathering will honor a life lived with grace and illuminate the indelible mark Kurt left on the world and the hearts of many.
Brendan Flynn has been thoughtfully entrusted with cremation care at Oxford Hills Crematory in Chester, NY. In the spirit of love and remembrance, the Brogan family extends deep gratitude to the Flynn Family and Flynn Funeral & Cremation Memorial Center staff for their compassionate care during this loss.
