Pasquale DiGiovanni, 88

May 22, 1937 – July 26, 2025

Pasquale DiGiovanni, 88, passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by his loving family.

Born on May 22, 1937, in Cattolica Eraclea, Sicily, Pasquale was the beloved son of Giuseppina Renda and Francesco DiGiovanni. After immigrating to the United States, he built a life rooted in hard work, family, and tradition.

Pasquale was the proud owner of Pat’s Plastic Slip Covers in Mount Vernon, NY, where he served his community with dedication for over 50 years. His passion for his craft and his commitment to excellence earned him the respect and loyalty of generations of customers.

He was married to the love of his life, Maria DiGiovanni, with whom he shared a beautiful life until her passing in 2001. Together, they raised three daughters—Lina Nelson, Josephine Amend, and Maryann DiGiovanni—who were the pride of his life.

Pasquale found joy in gardening, spending time with his family, and staying connected to his Sicilian roots. His greatest happiness came from watching his family grow and flourish.

He is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Maria DiGiovanni.

He is survived by his three daughters: Lina Nelson and her husband Theodore Nelson, Josephine Amend, and Maryann DiGiovanni; four grandchildren: Louis Amend, Joseph Amend and his wife Sarah, Maryann Nelson, and Anastasia Nelson; and two great-grandchildren: Sofia and Luca Amend.

He is also survived by his brother John DiGiovanni and John’s wife Stephanie, as well as their sons Jonathan (with wife Lindsey and their children) and Joshua (with wife Samantha).

Visitation will occur on Friday, August 1, 2025, from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Flynn Funeral & Cremation Memorial Centers, Inc., 139 Stage Road, Monroe, NY 10950.

 A Funeral Mass will be held on August 2, 2025, at 11 am at St. Anastasia's R.C. Church, 21 North Main Street, Harriman, NY 10926. Burial will follow at Monroe Cemetery, 566 NY-17M, Monroe, NY 10950. 

Pasquale will be remembered for his strength, kindness, and unwavering devotion to his family. His legacy of love and resilience lives on in all who knew and loved him.
