Ralph Van Wieren

Ralph Van Wieren (October 21, 1947 - December 24, 2025), 78 of Slate Hill, NY, passed away peacefully on December 24, 2025, at the Kaplan Family Hospice Residence in Newburgh, NY.

Born in the Netherlands on October 21, 1947. He is the son of the late Larry and Effie (Hazenberg) Van Wieren. Ralph was a veteran and served honorably in the U.S. Army from 1969 to 1971, stationed in Germany, achieving the rank of Sergeant. He was a self-employed mason for over 30 years.

He is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Michele (Matrochano) Van Wieren; two sons: Greg Van Wieren and spouse, Nichole, Steven Van Wieren; daughter: Cheryl Kleister and spouse, Christopher; grandchildren: Christopher, Austin, Devin, Kendra, Olivia, Ella, and Landon; brother Willian Van Wieren (Linda); sisters Barbara Van Der Velden (Len) and Tilly Tackema (Merle deceased), and many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his brother, Gary Van Wieren.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, January 4, 2026, from 1:00 to 3:00 P.M. at Flynn Funeral & Cremation Memorial Centers, 139 Stage Road, Monroe, New York 10950. A Life Celebration will take place at 2:45 P.M.

Private cremation will follow at Oxford Hills Crematory, Inc., Chester, New York, under the care and supervision of Brendan Flynn.

The Family has entrusted the care of Ralph to the Flynn Family and the staff of Flynn Funeral & Cremation Memorial Centers.
