Our hearts are broken as we announce the passing of Riley Morgan Neil. Riley was a beautiful girl with a smile that could light up a room.
From the very beginning, she was fearless and determined. She taught herself how to ride a bike, swim, and roller skate, and carried that same determination into everything that she did.
She was incredibly athletic and had a natural ability to excel at many things. She was phenomenal at gymnastics and loved volleyball, always willing to try new skills and push herself.
Riley was also a talented artist with an incredible ability to draw. She had a natural creativity and found joy in expressing herself through her art.
Riley had a kind and compassionate soul. She loved being around children and would always light up when they were around. She had a genuine love for animals, especially her dog Hank and her first dog, Slider.
Her love for Slider was something special, and we find comfort in thinking of the two of them together again, playing like they always did. Family meant so much to Riley. She was an amazing big sister to her little brother Cameron. They were truly partners in crime, and Ri Ri was always there for him. They shared a special bond and countless memories that will always be cherished. Riley was also a loyal friend who formed so many meaningful friendships.
She was deeply loved by her friends, and the memories they made together will stay with them forever. Riley was incredibly funny, quick-witted, and playful, with a wonderful sense of humor. She was never afraid to be herself and had a way of bringing laughter to the people around her.
She loved her Starbucks, Dunkin, and Chipotle, along with the simple things that made her happy.
Riley will be remembered for her fearless and determined spirit, her caring heart, her athletic ability, her creativity, her loyalty, and her incredible sense of humor.
Though her life was far too short, the impact she made during her time with us will last forever. She will be deeply missed by her family, her many friends, and everyone who had the privilege of knowing and loving her. Riley is survived by her mother, Leigh Neil; her father, Daniel Neil; and her little brother, Cameron. She is also survived by her grandparents, Carol and Timothy Neil and Dominick and Diane Splendorio; her uncles, Timothy Neil, Brian Neil, Matthew Fitzgerald, and Todd Kendrick; and her aunts, Lauren Fitzgerald, Christine Neil, Jeanne Kendrick, and Lori Neil. She will also be lovingly remembered by her cousins, Brian Neil, Katherine Jones, Jack Neil, Sean Neil, Kurt Neil, Emily Kendrick, Ryan Fitzgerald, Cole Kendrick, Kailey Fitzgerald, and Emma Fitzgerald.
May her beautiful soul rest in peace.
