It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Susan Francis Vankleeck on November 19th 2022 at Joe Raso Hospice Residence in New City, New York at the age of 76.
She was born in Suffern, New York on August 15 1946, to the late Anne Talmage and Roman Mikuszewski .
She is predeceased by her husband Claude Vankleeck, the love of her life.
She is survived by her son, Claude, his wife Jeannine, and her two beloved grandchildren Emma and CJ of Midland Park NJ. Susan is also survived by her beloved brothers and sisters, Jean Smith (George) of Lee Summit, Missouri, Roman F. Mikuszewski Jr. of Pomona, New York, Edward Mikuszewski (Carol) of Highland Falls, New York, Michael Mikuszewski (Pam) of Brookfield, New York, Frank Mikuszewski (Karen) of New City, New York, Tim Mikuszewski (Karen) of Pearl River, New York, Patrick Mikuszewski (Cindy) of Nanuet, New York, Carol Valenza (Vincent) of Cooperstown,New York, and her many nieces and nephews.Ross, Lisa,Curtis, Tracy, Gary, Tammy, Holly, Joshua, Crystal, Leon, Mandy, Robert, Catherine, Roman, Edward, Sarah, Angie, Jeromy, Justin, Austin, Frank, Erin, Scott, Stacy, Jack, Jonathan, Joe, Zachary, Manny.
Susan was a lifelong resident of Pomona NY. She retired from the post office in Pomona at which she worked for over 20 years.
She enjoyed spending her summers at Lake Champlain with her husband and son. She was a fan of country music and loved watching her soap operas. She could often be found having a cup of tea with her snack cakes. Her love for her family was second to none as she often opened her home to her brothers and sisters and nieces and nephews. If there was a way she could help someone in her family, she would.
Services will be announced at a later time. The family would like to thank Joe Raso Hospice Residence for her care during these difficult times.
Cremation services were provided by Oxford Hills Crematory, Inc under the immediate care and supervision of Thomas & Brendan Flynn
