Suzann Apostolides

June 6, 1982 — January 17, 2020

Suzann "Suzie" T. Apostolides formerly of Tuxedo Park, NY, and recently of Philadelphia, PA, died after a long and courageous battle with leukemia on January 17, 2020 at the University of Pennsylvania Medical Center. She was 37 years young. Born at Good Samaritan Hospital, Suffern, NY on June 6, 1982, she was the daughter of Andreas and Virginia Apostolides. Suzie was a graduate of Monroe-Woodbury High School (2000) and received a BFA in Interior Architecture from Rhode Island School of Design (2006). She worked at Sparks Marketing Group, Inc in Philadelphia as a Senior Display Designer. Previously, Suzie worked as a 3D Space Designer at Pennsylvania Horticultural Society and as Visual Display Coordinator at Terrain. She was an Artist in Residence at Meta Meta Meta, a collaborative arts organization where she had a one person show in October 2018 titled "Fly low for me". Suzie was a tremendously talented and amazing young woman and will be missed by all who knew her. Suzie's strength, courage, and humor was an inspiration. She was loved by so many and leaves behind lasting memories of the laughter and beauty she created wherever she went. She is survived by her parents Andreas and Virginia Apostolides, and by her brothers Yannis Apostolides and Alex Apostolides (significant other Clara Nguyen) and her sister Kristy Apostolides (David Gowrie). Suzie is also survived by her beloved nieces and nephews, Faith Apostolides, Leonidas and Aella Gowrie; aunts and uncles, Ellie Ioannou, Joyce Barton, and John "Bart" D. Barton (Robert Andrew) and many cousins and friends who all held a special place in her heart. Visitation will be held from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM on Saturday, February 8, at Flynn Funeral & Cremation Memorial Centers, Inc., 139 Stage Road, Monroe.
