Thomas S. Smith

Thomas S. Smith of Washingtonville, New York passed away on January 21, 2021 at White Plains Hospital located in White Plains, NY. He was 66 years old. The son of Michael Smith and the late Marie Smith (McKenna), he was born on November 2, 1954 in New York, NY. Tommy was an avid sports fan who never missed a Ranger, Yankee or Giant game. He made everyone laugh and loved telling stories about how great it was growing up in Yorkville with his best friends and cousins. For many years, he served as an altar boy at St Stephen's of Hungary on East 82nd Street. Although a city boy, Tommy loved upstate New York where he would enjoy fishing, camping and raising his family. Tommy lit up when talking about his granddaughters and always looked forward to taking them to the park. Anywhere Tommy is, you will find The Beatles playing in the background. The family is eternally grateful for the staff at White Plains Hospital for their genuine love, support, and amazing care during his final days Thomas (Tommy) is survived by the mother of his children, Sharon Walsh, his daughters, Kristen Barone and her husband Mark Barone of Washingtonville, NY, Allison Murphy and her husband Kevin Murphy of Mahwah, NJ, his father, Michael Smith, his sister Denyse Naylor and her husband Ken Naylor of North Carolina, his brother Michael Smith and his wife Diane Smith of Woodside, NY. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Alina Barone, Emma Barone and Shay Murphy, his nieces and nephews, Michael Smith, Bryan Naylor, David Naylor, Noelle Smith, Robert Beggi, Brenna Beggi and Kasey Beggi. A Visitation of family and close friends only will be held at Flynn Funeral & Cremation Memorial Centers, Inc., located at 139 Stage Road, Monroe, New York 10950 on Wednesday, January 27, 2020 with a Funeral Mass following at Sacred Heart R.C. Church located at 26 Still Road, Monroe, New York 10950 at 11:00 AM with burial to follow at St. Mary's R.C. Cemetery 2 Fr. Tierney Circle, Washingtonville, New York.
