Waverly A. Kraft, a resident of Monroe, NY, for 67 years, passed away on April 16, 2026, at the age of 78.
Waverly worked as a Bus Driver for the Monroe School District after retiring from Wall Street.
The son of the late Waverly and Marie Antonette Kraft, he was born on February 6, 1948, in Brooklyn, NY.
Waverly A. Kraft lived a peaceful life in the country 20 minutes outside Greenwood Lake, NY, since he was 7 years old. He graduated from Monroe-Woodbury Central High School in Central Valley, NY, and served his country in the Army National Guard. Waverly eventually went to work on Wall Street. After he retired, he was a part-time Bus Driver for the local School District until his health did not allow that anymore.
He never married or had children. He is survived by his only sibling and living relative, his Sister, Betty (Kraft) Mulligan; one Niece, Michelle R. Mabee; two grand nieces; and his best friend from High School, Claude Piazza. Claude was like the Brother Waverly never had.
Waverly loved animals, had a dog and a cat for many years. Liked to take his boat out on Greenwood Lake, go to the gym, ski in his younger years, vacation in Florida, enjoyed dancing, and get together with friends.
In the last three months since January 2026, Waverly’s health quickly worsened, and he passed away from a second Stroke on April 16, 2026. Waverly lived a quiet life in the family home we grew up in. He is at peace with God now.
There will be no public calling hours as per the family's wishes.
Final Funeral Arrangements have been entrusted to Brendan T. Flynn, Thomas F. Flynn, and Megan Morales, Directors and Certified Cremation Specialists of Flynn Funeral & Cremation Memorial Centers, Inc.
Please feel free to extend your condolences or share a memory with the family.
