Richard J. McCall

Richard J. McCall, a retired Insurance Agent with State Farm Insurance and a longtime resident of the community, passed away peacefully on March 25, 2026, after a long and courageous illness.

Born on June 10, 1941, in the Bronx, New York, Richard was the beloved son of the late James and Margaret McCall.  He lived a life grounded in dedication to his Family, his work, and the simple joys that brought him peace.

Richard is survived by his devoted wife, Janet, and their loving children, James, Kevin, and Michael.  He was a proud father-in-law to Eileen, Kathy, and Sissy, and his Family remained the center of his world throughout his life.

In keeping with Richard's wishes, there will be no public services.  A private Family gathering will be held at Flynn Funeral & Cremation Memorial Centers, 3 Hudson Street, Chester, New York, where his loved ones will come together to share stories, laughter, and the many memories that defined his life.  Following this gathering, and as he requested, Richard will be cremated, and his remains will be scattered at a place he cherished deeply—his favorite fishing spot.

Cremation care will be entrusted to Brendan T. Flynn at Oxford Hills Crematory, Inc., Chester, New York, ensuring that Richard remains in the compassionate and respectful care of those dedicated to honoring his life.

The McCall Family has entrusted Richard's care to the Flynn Family and the staff of Flynn Funeral & Cremation Memorial Centers.

The Family warmly invites those who knew and loved Richard to share a memory or message of comfort, so that his legacy may continue to live on in the hearts of all who were touched by his life.
